A stocktake should help correct the inventory record without hiding what changed. Stock I T reads the current stock balance, accepts the quantity your team physically counted and calculates the variance between the two.
When there is a difference, the adjustment is posted as a Stock Take stock movement. When the current stock already matches the count, no movement is created.

Staff can scan a barcode with the camera, enter a barcode or SKU, or search the product list. That makes the stocktake screen useful even when some items do not have a convenient barcode to scan.

Instead of replacing a stock figure with no explanation, Stock I T records the variance as a Stock Take movement with the user and date, helping preserve the history behind the resulting balance.
