Barcode inventory software

Scan Stock Faster with Barcode Inventory Software

Stock I T lets your team use a phone, tablet or browser to scan barcodes or enter SKUs during goods receiving and stocktakes, helping everyday stock work stay connected to inventory.

Camera Scanning

Use a device camera to scan a barcode directly from the receiving or stocktake screen.

Barcode or SKU Lookup

Find active stock items using the supplier barcode or the item SKU.

Receive Goods

Receive against an open purchase order when one is available, or record an ad-hoc stock receipt when appropriate.

Stocktakes

Scan an item, see current stock, enter the counted quantity and post only the required adjustment.

Bring barcode scanning into normal stock workflows

Barcode scanning is most useful when it connects directly to the inventory work your team is already doing. Stock I T uses barcode and SKU lookup inside receiving and stocktake workflows rather than treating scanning as a separate system.

The mobile receiving screen can identify an outstanding purchase-order line for the scanned product and show the remaining quantity before stock is received.

Enter a barcode or SKU manually
Match stock items to open purchase orders
Record receiving stock movements
Use the same approach during stocktakes

Barcode receiving that stays connected to purchasing

Receive against an open PO

When a scanned stock item is found on an ordered or part-received purchase order, Stock I T can identify the outstanding line and receive the entered quantity against it.

Keep stock history connected

Receiving creates a stock movement with the purchase-order reference when linked to a PO. Ad-hoc receipts are also recorded as stock movements, preserving the inventory trail rather than silently changing a quantity.

Barcode stocktakes without a separate handheld system

The Stock I T stocktake screen can scan a barcode, accept an entered barcode or SKU, or search by product name or SKU. Once an item is selected, the current stock-on-hand is shown alongside the counted quantity.

If the count differs from the current balance, Stock I T posts the difference as a Stock Take movement. If the count already matches, no adjustment is needed.

Common questions

Can Stock I T scan barcodes from a phone?

Yes. The mobile receiving and stocktake screens include camera-based barcode scanning for supported browsers and devices.

Can I type a barcode instead of scanning it?

Yes. Barcode and SKU values can be entered manually and looked up from the same screens.

Does barcode receiving update purchase orders?

When the scanned item is linked to an outstanding purchase-order line, the received quantity can be posted against that line and the purchase-order status can reflect whether it is part received or fully received.

Does scanning replace stock history?

No. Receiving and stocktake activity is recorded through stock movements so the inventory history remains connected to the transaction that changed the stock balance.
